ABOUT THE EVENT:


We are thrilled to invite you to our upcoming community event, Zones of Wellness- ZOW! on September 17th at Oxnard College Park!


ZOW is all about creating a day of well-being and fun for families in our community. Join us as we transform the park into vibrant zones where you can explore art, music, mindfulness, fitness, play, nature, animal therapy, and so much more!


This incredible event will offer FREE activities for the whole family to enjoy and discover new ways to enhance their well-being. Plus, we're excited to bring together amazing community partners who will provide valuable information about the services they offer. It's an opportunity to learn, connect, and support each other in our wellness journeys.

ART ZONE BY:


Art Trek, Inc. is a nonprofit arts organization and arts center whose mission is to bring quality art experiences into the classroom and community. Active since 1992, Art Trek has been creating positive and confidence-building experiences for individuals of all ages and socio-economic backgrounds: in kinder through college classrooms, public venues, our studio, and wherever we can meet a need.




NAMI Ventura County provides advocacy, support, education and resources for individuals and families affected by mental illness, inclusive of all, without discrimination and stigma.




Engage Treatment is built on connection, commitment, and compassion. First and foremost, we are helpers. We provide a safe, reliable, and authentic experience for children, teens, young adults, and their families to get the support and care they need when they’re struggling. Options For Youth is a network of free public charter high schools in Southern California offering students a flexible, personalized approach to education. Their schools create an educational choice for all students and their staff connects with students to empower and inspire them, to achieve their goals and make their dreams a reality.




FITNESS ZONE BY:


The mission of the Autism Society Ventura County is to create connections, empowering everyone in the Autism Community to live fully. The Autism Society works to promote lifelong access and opportunity for all individuals within the autism spectrum and their families to be fully included members of the community.





A Heart Of An Angel is a non-profit organization that provides outdoor exercise enrichment programs, education, leadership, physical and spiritual fitness for children, building strength, character and confidence in the whole child, mind, body, and spirit.



The Ventura County YMCA takes immense pride in strengthening our communities to support everyone—no matter who they are or where they’re from—reach their full potential. The YMCA trains young adults for jobs, provides children a safe place to go, and helps seniors build connections. Everything they do is in service of making sure people in our communities thrive and maintain healthy lifestyles.




MUSIC ZONE BY:


Drumtime drum circles by John Lacques, a professional musician and educator for over thirty years, is guided with energetic and caring support, ensuring all participants receive hands-on experience in the building of joy, health, success and community.




Each person is multidimensional therefore this treatment program is all encompassing. La Ventana’s philosophy is to "empower” the client by creating a foundation of recovery tools for success, working in collaboration with a treatment team, and creating a community base support system.




NATURE & ANIMALS ZONE BY:


Reins of H.O.P.E. offers a unique experiential form of therapy for youth ages 3-18. Their sessions out in nature with the horses allow exploration of thoughts and feelings and foster trust, resilience, problem solving skills, improved communication and healthier relationships.



Love on a Leash® is committed to bringing comfort, happiness, and healing to more people nationwide by increasing public awareness of pet-provided therapy. Our volunteer organization provides an accessible certification process that allows qualified therapy teams to provide effective pet-provided therapy services in their community.



Our company's goal is bring the joy of goats to everyone in Los Angeles! We love educating, sharing, and brightening your day!






Oxnard Special Populations is a program designed to provide social and recreational opportunities for persons 5 years of age and older with disabilities.





MINDFULNESS ZONE BY:


At Harmony Family Yoga you can take a moment to breathe, quiet the mind, relax, and connect with your inner-self. They are committed to providing a nurturing, safe and inclusive environment for everyone to receive the benefits of yoga. They promote healthy lifestyles, inward focus, and alignment of mind body and soul.




The mission of the Oxnard Public Library is to enrich the lives of our diverse community by providing free and equal access to the resources, services, and programs that encourage life-long learning and lead to future success.





Logrando Bienestar (Achieving Well-Being) is an outreach program of Ventura County Behavioral Health that provides education to the community to better understand the importance of emotional well-being. The team serves youth, families, and adults by providing linkage to mental health services and resources. The program is countywide, with an emphasis on the Latino community.



The Diagnostic and Counseling Center is unique in that they offer both assessment and treatment in the same facility. Whether you are looking for a diagnosis, or psychotherapy, DCC is able to provide high quality service to help support you

Angels of Light Children’s Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides children, teachers, parents & professionals with effective Mindfulness tools and knowledge that deliver Whole Child, Whole Community & Whole Education benefits.




PLAY & SENSORY ZONE BY:


Happy Baby Social Nest facilitates play-based classes for babies 6-18 months of age that are developmentally appropriate and provide opportunities for growth. Babies get to engage in sensory exploration, music, and play while parents learn about the cognitive, physical, and social emotional benefits of the various activities.




Stories by sensory is a small business that makes sensory boxes with Learning Guides. Boxes are created around a children’s book and have lessons for different ages and skill levels. Great family activity, self regulating activity, independent play-the list goes on!




To help neurodivergent children reach their full potential, we are raising the standards of ABA therapy and providing a dedicated, child-centered approach!




First 5 Neighborhoods for Learning (NfLs) help families raise children who are healthy, nurtured, and prepared for kindergarten. They offer Parent and Child Together (PACT) classes, screenings, referrals, parent education, resources and more for families.


COMMUNITY PARTNERS:




Ventura County District Attorney's Office/Ventura County Family Justice Center supports and improves the lives of those impacted by family violence and trauma.





To empower, strengthen and support parents and other caregivers who have youth and/or children with mental health, behavioral, and/or emotional disorders.






Teens 4 Teens Help empowers teens who are suffering from emotional and mental health issues to choose their own recovery.




Interface is Ventura County’s most comprehensive nonprofit provider of social services, including mental health & trauma treatment, youth crisis & homeless services, domestic violence & child abuse prevention, human trafficking prevention & intervention, and justice services.

Many Mansions is a non-profit organization that provides well-managed, service-enriched, affordable housing to low-income residents of Southern California. They operate 20 communities consisting of over 700 units of affordable housing. We serve more than 1,500 of the most vulnerable members of our community.



The mission of the Ventura County Medical Center Stroke Program is dedicated to the vital task of spreading awareness about strokes within the community. Through targeted education, outreach, and engagement initiatives, the program aims to empower individuals with the knowledge and tools to recognize the signs and symptoms of strokes.





Ventura County Behavior Health Substance Use Services Program provides a broad range of services for alcohol and drug-related problems which include prevention services, assessment, treatment, crisis intervention and referral services to adult, youth and families.



Healthy Homes Ventura County's primary goal is to remediate or remove lead hazards from the interior of privately-owned single-family residential properties built before 1978. Lead paint is the primary source of childhood lead poisoning. HHVC integrates health and safety interventions, lead hazard control, and housing rehabilitation for property owners by coordinating resources in an efficient manner to produce healthy homes.



The Community Counseling Services of California Lutheran University has a threefold mission: to provide high quality, affordable therapy to members of our community, to provide excellent training opportunities for our Master and Doctoral level students, and to be an active center of clinical research.



The Oxnard College Dental Hygiene Program provides

low-cost dental hygiene care and promotes the importance of oral health.





Ventura County Department of Child Support Services works to ensure children receive consistent and reliable support from both parents.





Coalition For Family Harmony is a non-profit organization. Their services include: providing direct services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault; to educate the community regarding violence against women, children, and men; to prevent the cycle of violence.




Diversity Collective is a community-based 501(c)3 nonprofit governed by a volunteer board of directors and volunteer advisory board. Their mission is providing advocacy, visibility, safety, and wellness for the LGBTQ+ community.
