Playful Bonds: Nurturing Relationships Through Play

Welcome to Playful Bonds, a six-week program designed to equip parents and caregivers with the tools to foster positive, meaningful interactions with their children through the power of play. By focusing on enhancing parent-child bonding and promoting sensory and social-emotional learning, Playful Bonds aims to support early mental health intervention and nurture children's overall development.

This program is proudly funded by Ventura County Behavioral Health through the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA)

Meet Raechel & Everet

We are excited to announce that Raechel and Everet from Happy Baby Social Nest will be leading our Playful Bonds sessions. Their journey into creating this nurturing space was inspired by their own experiences as parents of their toddler, Tyson, who is the heart and soul behind their endeavor.

Raechel brings a wealth of knowledge in child development, having worked with children of all ages, from newborns to teenagers. Her academic background focuses on child intersectionality and holistic well-being, providing her with valuable insights into fostering healthy relationships and emotional growth in children. Together with Everet, they recognized a need for supportive spaces for parents and caregivers—particularly those navigating the challenges of raising a child during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Determined to create a welcoming environment for families, Raechel and Everet founded Happy Baby Social Nest.

Their mission is to foster play, learning, and meaningful connections between parents and their children, aligning perfectly with the goals of our Playful Bonds program. We are thrilled to collaborate with them in this initiative, as they embody the spirit of nurturing and growth that we seek to promote in our community.
