         Counseling  Services

Because childhood and healing both matter.

At Childhood Matters, we believe that everyone deserves a safe space to heal, grow, and be heard. Our counseling services are here to support children, teens, and families through life’s challenges with compassion, care, and connection.

Childhood Matters offers affordable, confidential counseling services for children, adolescents, and young adults, ages 5 to 25. We provide therapy in both English and Spanish, with fees determined on a sliding scale to ensure accessibility for all. We are offering tele health (video) sessions as well as in-person sessions.

Our therapists are graduate-level students working towards becoming licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs). These students are enrolled in our Counseling Psychology program with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy.

These graduate students receive close supervision from licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs), who have extensive experience in community-based therapy. Our licensed clinical supervisors offer intensive oversight to ensure that all therapy sessions meet the highest standards of care. For educational purposes, all sessions are digitally recorded with client consent.

At Childhood Matters, we strive to create a safe, welcoming space where you can explore your personal challenges, goals, and decisions with confidence.

We offer support for clients with mild to moderate care needs, including:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Stress Management

  • Relationship Difficulties

  • Identity Concerns

  • Survivors of Sexual Assault

  • Trauma and Abuse

  • Conflict Resolution

  • Family Struggles

  • Personal Development
