Childhood Matters is excited to pilot the Arts & Wellness Program at our Wellness Center! This innovative program, developed by Ventura County Behavioral Health in collaboration with Creativity Through Music, uses the power of the arts to support mental health and trauma recovery. While the original program serves clients ages 16–25, our pilot is designed for youth ages 11–15, offering individual art sessions paired with wellness coaching.

Participants will also have the chance to join Family Arts Sessions, creating a shared space for connection, creativity, and emotional growth. All creative experiences are guided by certified artists and organizations trained in Trauma-Informed Arts Practice and Social Emotional Learning through the Arts, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for youth and families.

This pilot program is made possible through funding from Ventura County Behavioral Health, Mental Health Services Act, and represents a unique opportunity for families to explore art, wellness, and healing together.
